Born & raised in Northern Cali, Cakes aka JJ as she is known by friends moved to Los Angeles 6 years ago. Being a life long music fan, she quickly found herself in the middle of Los Angeles’s DJ scene rubbing elbows with some of Los Angeles’s finest such at DJ Vice, DJ Steve 1der, DJ Fashen, David Rockwell & Steve Aoki. Cakes has held residencies and done guest appearances all over Los Angeles including The Playboy Mansion, Mood, Hush, Greendoor, Element, Vanguard, The Standard Downtown, Avalon and SBE owned Area, S-Bar and Foxtail just to name a few.

Her style can best be described as eclectic and varies on any given night from your typical mash-up, pop, Top 40 set to sexy, dirty house, electro, alternative and old school hip-hop grooves. She has recently decided to make the move back to Northern California to be closer to her family and is excited about bringing that L.A. energy to her hometown.
